Omani researchers scout around for an ideal location to set up a mist net (used for bat capture)

The Western Asia Bat Research Network (WAB-Net) is working with researchers from throughout the region to develop a robust collaborative research program on bats and bat-associated coronaviruses (CoVs). This multinational research program will use a combination of field, laboratory, and analytical methods to address outstanding questions surrounding drivers of host–virus dynamics (Phelps et al., 2019).
